At QT, we emphasize the importance of composting, recycling, reusing, and growing our own food.  At a very young age children  learn about many things they can do to reduce their carbon footprint.  They are taught how to value and respect their planet-- It' is their  future.

Children are capable of learning how to

reduce the amount of prepackaging they

use. They can use reusable containers etc...

We can model how to rinse out containers

so that they may be reused again or recycled.

Children are capable of learning how to reuse

items so that they can get alot of use instead

of contributing to our landfill. In our

classroom environment children are

encouraged to reuse ...cups, paper,  various art

materials, etc...

Children are capable of understanding that

our solid waste (food) can be given back to the earth and benefit our gardens. While providing hands on experience in composting methods we are reducing the amount of solid waste sent to our landfill.

Children are capable of learning and should be taught to recycle as much as they possible can. Learning how to recycle is the final link in the chain of  reducing, reusing and recycling.

Enjoy nature...

A quiet revolution has begun--its aim is simple....Get our children outside and closer to nature!
